Normally, I would be all over this type of event..going to a comedy club, having a few drinks and good laughs with everyone. But it's my mum's birthday that night, so I won't be able to make it. But next time!!

So did you make it to Takeout Comedy, Lemonlenny?

I went there when Jamie first set up the shop and have been going occasionally. He sort of "groomed" the current crop of comedians and they are not bad as amateurs; however, they tend to rehash the same skits over and over again so it gets boring after seeing the same people performing more than once. The Indian HK guy, sorry can't remember his name, is an exception though: he produces new materials and is incredibly funny, a true natural.
