I had a brief recce the other day but was too busy gagging on the smell of dried seafood and the urge to stab the sharks fin dealers.

| | | It's the only one I know of in this neighbourhood - pretty sure it's the only 'western' gym/health centre type of place in the area. | |

| | | There is also the local government sports centre.
Other option would be Pure Fitness on Hollywood Road.
Fitness first is probably the best option, its at Millennium Plaza.
BTW i understand the going rate for monthly cost is HK$424 a month there.

| | You'd be lucky to get the membership for $424 now. I'm locked in at $414, but I've been a member for over a year and I joined with my brother, so they gave us a discount. | |

| | | I went to FF yesterday to have a look. I was greeted by a fat woman who looked like she had wooden teeth who pushed me towards a greasy fat bloke who waved and said 'hallloooooooo' as we are so used to here before continuing to talk to his mates.
After a few uncomfortable moments of silence in which I wondered how you stop wooden teeth from rotting I asked the girl for a rate card/pricelist type thing. to which she presented me with a clipboard for me to fill in all my personal details so an 'account manager' could contact me later.
WTF do I need an account manager at a gym for? I didn't want to leave anything more than a name and number so I said 'thanks but no thanks' and left. Is that normal for a gym? Surely there is somewhere else where they are a bit less corporate and a little more.........gym?
