| looking for Halal frozen meat (mutton (boneless/minced) and other halal products Hi, I am looking for Halal meat . chicken, mutton, (boneless/minced, etc,) and other halal products. In tokyo/us, we had this Sadia halal products from brazil etc. which has boneless, minced . they also had burger petty, franks, nuggets etc. Could you please help me find something similar here. I have seen the butcher shops in TST and Yuen long. they have this "fresh" meat from china (suspect?) and are outrageously expensive too. dont have other products too. I am looking for some frozen products from elsewhere. Thanks a lot! |

| Drop the guys at meatmarket.hk a line ... they might have a solution for you. Not sure how they work out in terms of prices.

| Halal frozen meet in HKG Go to the corner of Matheson and Leighton (very close to TimesSquare, across from the CCC). There is a meet shop at the north west corner. Sorry, cant remember the name of it. Very reasonable prices and very tasty. HC |

Some of the locations mentioned above may not always be geographically convenient to where you live, most speciality meat suppliers would have a delivery service, providing you achieve the minimum free delivery quota. Say $300 or so. We get all our fresh meat from the Tuen Mun, Yuen Long & Tsuen Wan wet markets, which are very competitive, the only Halal butcher that I remember seeing is the one located at Wang Fat Path Yuen Long. As you have already experienced, Hala butchers charge a premium price for whatever they do differently over a local wet market butcher. When in Rome comes to mind, but understand that you might have some religious rules that you need to adhere to, but you'll certainly pay more for that privilege. | In TST the Haiphong Rd Wet Market (TST MTR exit A)- there is a Halal Butcher there - shop name is "Muhammad Iqbal Meat Shop" the number is 23175131. They have fresh halal meat and frozen halal meat (beef, chicken, mutton, etc) The minimum delivery cost is based on the distance is which they have to travel for delivery. The shop has been in business for about 50 years - the sons run it for their father - who is semi retired but still helps out from time to time. Last edited by Alby; 18-03-2008 at 10:29 AM.
