New arrivals ready to explore HKG together?

Hi everyone

I started my assignment here in February. Sofar my network is restricted to my colleagues from work. They are really nice, but .... that can't be it.
I am Austrian, female, mid 30's and am looking for nice people who are ready to explore Hong Kong's bars, restaurants, cinemas, shopping malls, hiking tours, beaches .....
Looking forward to your replies

I'm ready to explore too!

Hi Sunshine 1
I'm Scottish, female and 29. Been here nearly 6 months now but would also like to meet people outside of work and explore more of Hong Kong.
I'm new to this forum thing and not sure what to do next?!

Hi all, how's life as a newbie in HK? Guess it's never to hard to adapt to HK as it "supposed" to be okay international :-)

Cool another new person, I'll see what I can do when I'm back in Town in a couple of weeks, sunshine1 has already met some of my friends for dinner and drinks and theres no doubt we'll be arranging something again soon.

Not sure if you would be interested but on the 12th April we're doing a shenzhen meet, Shopping, Massage and Lunch, let me know if you're interested.

Yes it's easy to meet new friends in Hong Kong.
Thank you Jimbo for taking me out!
April sounds great for a follow up.

Another one fresh off the plane!

Hi,

I'm so glad to have stumbled across your thread! I am from London and started my assignment in Feb too. I'm male, mid 30s, outgoing and willing to try new things. My social network is currently work-based but I would love to meet people outside of work for either drinks, dinners, exploring HK city and island life. I haven't seen much of this vibrant city but hope to do so with some of you out there!

Cheers.

Hey Jimbo,
Just wondering if the Shenzhen 12 April outing you mentioned is a geoexpat event, or if not, whether you can mention further details? (ie where/when to meet)? I came to HK from Oz last year but have only been to Shenzhen once. Would not mind if people can actually show me around

I'm interested to join the shenzhen meet up, it's also a new city to me but just curious why not arranging one in HK instead.... ;-)
