Hi- Just moved from US looking for a place to go for happy hour or a Fri/Sat night to listen to good music/good drinks geared toward the over 35 crowd. Is there a decent jazz club around?

First there was the 20 somethings, 30 somethings, 40 somethings get togethers. Now we have a breakaway 35-45 grouping. What's with all the ageism?

Vibes on Wyndham St gets good reviews for the jazz/blues though I haven't had a chance to drop by yet.

The FCC has jazz on Tu/Th/Fr from 9 or so. And the people there definitely meet your age criteria (the 35+ bit at least)! The drinks are good value too, but you need to be or with a member (only members can pay bills there).

good drinks- a sapphire martini, stout beer, wine not really interested in the upside down margarita did to many of those in my college days

Havana on Elgin St has nice Salsa music and Mojito. Love their Chicken wings too. Recently visited "Linq" (if I remember the name correctly), nice red and music.

I've been to Vibe and consider their house band the best in HK. They mainly play Jazz/Blues but can also put on classic rock when the mood strikes.

I don't have a positive review of Havana though. Didn't like the service--hey I know it's bad in general in HK but theirs is BAD--nor the food. By the way, does anyone know where to find great Buffalo wings?

Vibe is good and plays from 9pm onwards, after that one can go to backstage live at wellington street they are having a very good jazz group playing from 10.30 onwards...
