Smile Christmas Day

Hi Everyone,

We are moving to Hong Kong in 1 week.

What do expats do on christmas day? Which restaurants are good?

We will be living in a hotel for a while, so no chrissy tree!

Is there a park with a christmas tree on display to show my child?

Thanks

in central just across from the main hsbc building there is a very tall christmas tree and a "santa town" complete with santa, santa's post office, a chapel, etc. nice outing for young children. some nice hotels have special christmas day lunches. if this interests you, you probably should book now rather than later. x-mas decor is sold everywhere, you might do-up your hotel room for the kids.

it's our first x-mas here as well so i'm afraid that's all i can offer!

There's Xmas trees everywhere - Times Sq, Pacific Place has a Santa. You can take the ferry to Kowloon in the evening to see the Christmas lights.

I guess, Santa's post office is the theme for this year thats why you can see it all over HK outside many big malls along with Santa, Chris Tree and nice decor inside malls.

hey.. dont' know if any of you guys are into this kind of thing.. but there's this church that has a great christmas day service... once a year... can't hurt! free mince pies, mulled wine, and a bit of spiritual stuff...

anyways here a link to their website... right next IFC2!
