Billiards @ KingsHotel, tonight?

I'm a new Hong Konger - arrived two weeks ago. I'm looking to shoot some pool but don't want to head out solo. Anyone up for a game tonight (March 1)? I can start shooting as late as 9....

Inevitably all GeoExpat billiard threads become a conversation on meaning of "billiards".... FYI, I usually play 8-ball by BCA rules.... but I'm game for whatever is at King's.... Snooker, carom, BCA 8/9 ball, etc. :-)

if interested, send PM and I'll reply with my cell number. Won't play for $. Cheers!

-Paul

The winner stays on table at Joe's Billiards (the place at the King's Hotel) is 8-ball BCA. But the serious players there tend to play 9-ball BCA most often.

Thanks for the tip. So I can not rent a table exclusively for myself/friends? That's a bummer.

Yes of course you can - there are 7 or 8 tables you can rent by the hour and 1 winner-stays-on table. Obviously you can play whatever you want on tables you rent yourself. You'll have quite a long wait for a table after 9pm on a Saturday night though!
