| I think Microsoft is getting a nice class action which they are going to lose for their "Vista Capable" certification of hardware which could only run the most basic version of Vista.
What doesn't cease to amaze me is all these new fast machines that I keep seeing and despite they huge performance leaps there have been on RAM, CPU and Drives they still seem to all work at the same slow rate. It is as if there is a conspiracy to keep all machine responsiveness at a constant slow performance rate despite of the hardware you own.
In most cases I go back to my dodgy P3 Win2K machine and enjoy the zippier behaviour as it is not running a bloated UI, or the latest "go slow" software.
Firefox 3 beta3 does a lot for performance and not hogging ram compared to Firefox 2. |
