2008 - 2009 Hong Kong Budget - What are you expecting?

Once again, they've started the rumors that Hong Kong will have an unprecedented surplus.

Is it an indication that the govt cant seem to do its analytics and get their numbers right?

What are you expecting out of this budget?

- Would like to see more social spending specially for the elderly and poor
- Better support for education and the medical system

Yes, it defies Darwinism, I wont repeat this again.

maybe some money spent on better consumer protection laws?

also some money spent on sorting out the environment?

not spending money on white elephants?

however tax cuts are always great!

actually seeing booze prices dropping (however we all know that is a total pipe dream).

I'd like to see a couple more light buses running from Sai Kung to Hang Hau in the morning.

I don't ask for much.....................

kudos to Tsang. i saved some taxes and electric bills... overall, this budget contribution is politically correct. everybody get some.

however, I dont see any cure for near future inflation... inflation might roll over everybody eventually.
