anyone here with an iphone on PCCW mobile?
i just signed up with them, and cant get my edge account to work.

i put APN: pccw (also tried pccwdata)

PCCW does not have EDGE only GPRS.

So they really are not an option. Peoples is the only game in town unless you have money to waste.

so how do i use GPRS on the iphone?
ive heard its possible..just dont know how to do so.

On Peoples they just type something like *#106# and it SMS you the settings. Go to the shop and get the guy there to do it for you

I have APN set to pccw, no password or username and it's working fine (1.1.3 self-upgraded). Also I recommend DeviceScape "Connect" application which auto-logs into PCCW's wifi hotspots (Devicescape - Connect all your Wi-Fi devices to any hotspot or Wi-Fi network - automatically).

I am currently using 3 (phone company) and they charge $.1 per kb. I'm looking to use the iPhone in HK for a month, every other month. So I'm looking for a good company which charges either a very cheap monthly fee or just a usage charge cheaper that 10 cents per kb. I've been on several websites, but I can't manage to find any.
Can anyone recommend a good company?

best bet would be peoples.com.hk they do a deal at $128/month unlimited data plan and they have an EDGE network in hong kong as well. thinking of changing myself from smartone to peoples at the end of the month.
