Hello there,

I thought I'd drop a little note to see if there are any database programmers out there who would be interested in getting together to chat about setting up a database covering HK (possibly Aua and UK) horses?

I must state that I'm not looking to set up a 'Paid for' website or anything...this is more to help me (and the other person) to streamline their weekly pics.

My history?...I have 'played' on the horses (UK, HK and US) for a good 20 years now and spent 3 years with it as my sole income. I packed in the 'Professional' side of things really because I felt that I had met my organisational limits and the stress of wagering 10's and 100's of ,000's was pushing me to the edge. I have happily 'played' as a lover of this great sport since then and haven't really had too much of an urge to re-professionalise myself.

I'm waffling a bit at the moment but really looking to see if there's anyone out there with a passing interest in the nags that might be interested in putting together an interesting referencable database covering a wide range of info?

Hi all,

i've seen the website mentioned and a few others besides and I doff my cap at the guys for getting stuff done. I've met quite a few of the 'Professional' syndicates in HK and have dabbled in syndicates myself in the past. That's not really what I'm looking for at this moment though.

What I'm looking to do is quite different though. Although I handicap and rate all horses in a similar fashion fashion to the guys already mentioned, I also grade performances by a wide range of other factors.

What I want to do is to set up a referenceable database similar to Patternform, Raceform Interactive and a few others that are knocking about.

My budget for this is $0 I'm looking to do this as a project between me and another (or others). My knowledge and understanding of the grading, handicapping and assessment of horse flesh shall be traded for some one elses understanding of what is really rather basic programming in something like Access...

any takers?
