for the mac this would be better imho...

if you're going to get a pc... get at least an Nvidia 8800 GT 512mb ram GPU.

i'm a mac user but i run MS FS X on a PC with the GPU i mentioned above.

From what I've read, FSX will work on all of these setups, but you'll see benefit from 2GB RAM on the Mac machines. The PC machines will be much cheaper, allowing you to buy add-on software, etc.

Try a YouTube search for "rikm12345". That guy is running SFX on a mac. If you read the comments on his videos, you will see other people writing about their setups and respective performance. Good stuff.

Get this setup, and then call me over so I can play:

it will run on these setups indeed, but if you're going to max out all the settings, it would be best if you had a faster video card.

the best GPU with the most bang for buck is the 8800GT. they're pretty cheap nowadays so might as well get the better card.

i'm running it on Vista Ultimate but it would probably run a tad better on WinXP.

There's also an expansion pack for it now too. Might want to get that as well.

I'm using a Saitek X52 Pro to enhance gameplay as well. You might want to get that too or the other sweet joysticks by Saitek. Got mine in Windsor House on the 11th floor. There's a shop with a lot of PC games there and they have it.

Mine is in black and it looks better I think.

>> Vista or XP?

Avoid Vista like the plague if you can.
