| | | Visa advice Hi all, need some advice from anyone who may have experienced the same or knows someone who has... Seeing a Filipina girl but she does not have the right of abode in HK. Consequently, it's tourist visas and such. Can anyone offer advice on whether it is possible to get her a visa long-term? If so, who do I need to speak to? Cheers. | |

| | | It depends on your circumstances as well.
Options for her are
1. Get a job here as a DH
2. Marry somebody with right of abode to HK.

| | | She can either come in on the 14 day tourist visa then try for one extension at Immd or the Shenzen run a couple of times - or you can apply for a one month tourist visa before she get here and perhaps get up to another month extension. After a few visits they will ask her why she is spending so much time in Hong Kong. Tempting to answer so we can @@@@ each other stupid but perhaps not the best response.
The DH route is a possible subject to her age. If she has not been a DH before then there will be masses of paperwork and things for her to do in the Philippines before she can come over. I'll PM you the agency I used to employ my sister in law if you want it.

| | | There are also quite a few people working in Hong Kong who live in Manila at weekends because that's where their partners are based. The 06:30 flight out every Monday is full of them. If she is based in Manila that is maybe something you could consider. | |

I remember all those weekend flights before we got married.

| | | Unfortunately not. You can do Clark to Macao on Tiger Airways, but the timing isn't amenable to working in HK and spending the weekends in Pampanga. | |

Laughing, yeah, maybe not a response immigration would desire......
If you could PM me the agency Hullexile, it would be appreciated.
Thanks PDLM, but job means I am away quite a few weekends and fly enough without an HK daily commute. Maybe an option though... | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 05:26 AM. | Partners |
