I usually use scoopable cat litter and use plastic bags when cleaning out the box. I've noticed that many shops do not seem to like giving out plastic bags so I'm slowly running out of bags to use for the cat litter.

Does anyone know where I can buy plastic bags in bulk or have an alternative solution that wouldn't require plastic bags? Unfortunately, my cats don't seem willing to learn to use the toilet!

Hmmmm most supermarkets seem to give out plastic bags all the time, alternatively buy those pedal bin bags from your local supermarket.

You could try flush-able cat litter, for example tofu or paper cat litter.

I wouldn't recommend "toilet-training" you cat because you wouldn't be able to find out if there is anything abnormal with your cat's urine or poo poo

Wow that would be some trick teaching them to use the flush afterwards though!

I've never trusted flushable litter to not clog up the toilet, and as for cats learning to flush, check this out (he uses two paws!):

Had I toilet-trained my cats I wouldn't notice that one of them was passing less and less urine and was suffering from FLUTD (my 2 cats always pass their urine at 2 different spots inside the litter box - 1 cat always at the corner and the other always at the center).

When you toilet-train your cats (even if they don't know how to flush ) you won't be able to find out how much urine they are passing and what the 'texture' of their poo poo is. Which are important to monitoring your cats' health
