I went by to buy the iphone in Sin Tat. But they told me the price was 4600 HKD for 8 GB :O

i dit not buy it, think that to much..

i tried many shops.. but no, i did not negotiate. I did not belive that i would get it around 1000 hkd down.

Some sold it for 3600 but then you had to buy 10+

In April, I was asked to bring over a 16GB iPhone from the states. Both Apple Stores in my vicinity were out of stock. The trick is to visit an AT&T Wireless store where contrary to my presumption, they did NOT force me to bundle the hardware with a 2-year service contract. 16GB out-the-door price? $543usd after taxes ($4230hk)

The 8GB version would've been $434usd ($3383hk)

Had I known of HK's iPhone drought, I probably would've picked up a few (dozen) more.

In case there's any ambiguity, the iPhones sold through the official Apple Stores or at mobile phone vendor AT&T are the same hardware. Both equally jailbreak-able.

thanks for answering, but its to late. i'm on bali now, and there is not many iphones for sale her.. lol..

Any way, i will visit Bangkok on the way home, and ill hope to find something there, i also going to Canada this winter and i hope to find a cheap iphone there maybe.?
