Smile Work Oppurtunity in Hong Kong

i wanted to work in hong kong and want to know about the work requirements in hong kong. can you please give me some info on the kind of work-skills required in hong kong?
i'm interested in a job profile that lets me mingle more with people in the corporate scenario. i'm good in communication skills, presenting ideas and conversing with people.
my dad runs business in hong kong and china, export-import related. i wanted to complete post graduation in the subjects that would sharpen my skills that HK requires.
many thanks!

Just of the top of my head:

Project Management skills/abilities
Familiar with Mandarin is helpful

What is your ideal position? You mention job profile however you know yourself better I suggest doing research and meeting with people who presently working in the fields/area that interest you - they and you don't have to be specifically located in Hong Kong.

Think about:
What do you see yourself doing in 3, 5 and 10 years time?

i get bored with a desk job easily...doent like anything that is customer facing..
perhaps would be more interested in business deals within a company..

Negotiation in a professional environment, can be used for selling, purchasing, staff (e.g. contracts), borrowing (e.g. loans) and transactions, along with anything else that you feel are applicable for the business environment.

You may consider taking a career aptitude test (you can Google and find some free online) to also assist you with your career direction. I suggest taking more than one from different sites.

Career aptitude test is only a tool for guidance and possibilities and not defining.

Wise man said ... you'll never get there, if you don't know where you're going.

Your requirements are all over the place in some sort of fantasy world.

By the way, if you've watched Amercian Idol you'll also know - never believe for a second what people close to you have said about your skills.

So -- where does that leave you? Well, get your goals sorted out first. There is nothing unique about Hong Kong where you'd go "what sort of skills to people in HK need?". They need everything from street cleaners to folks who hustle copy watches and cheap suits, to board members of HSBC and Hutchison to make this place what it is.

Yes most definitely get your goals / objectives in check that is why my 1st posting suggested researching and talking to various professionals in fields that may interest you. As you can do this from anywhere.

KIA,How about Board Members for GEOExpat? Can I nominate myself and a few others for chairs?
