Where to take dogs????

Hi,
We have recently moved to Hong Kong and have brought our dog with us (chocolate lab). We live in Sai Wan ho and are quite puzzled at how dogs seem to be banned from every park and walk way. Can anyone recommend places to take our dog - maybe even somewhere she can be let off her lead?

Also a dog park on the waterfront at Wanchai (near SPCA).

Tai Tam probably nearest to you at guess for Country park that people walk dogs in regularly.

you can take the Hike up to mt. butler which is fairly close to Sai Wan Ho It is on King's Road in Quarry Bay. Just turn up Mt Parker Road at the overhead foot bridge.

Takes you right into Tai Tam park where you can let your dog off leash. Good views and an easy paved hike, although all uphill.

Thanks to you both for the replies. We did take her up Tai Tam yesterday and through the tree walk where there was less people. Good to know there are places near.

The above suggestions are all good and there are many walks in the hills all around HK but if you also want somewhere local to just let the dog off the lead and socialise with other dogs you should be able to find the local, informal dog place where the local dog owners meet and let their dogs play if they don't have time for a more extended walk. For Sai Wan Ho there are informal 'dog places' at either end of Quarry Bay Park. The one where the 'restautrant street' meets the park would probably be the nearest for you.
