Airplane noise...

Actually, we don't hear the airplanes at all 'cause the noise goes parallel to the flight path. Only with very big planes and they are infrequent.

To be honest, anywhere in town will have MUCH more noise from buses and trams and general hubub. We stay with inlaws in North Point a lot and the biggest thing we notice is how noisy it is there, and how much we miss quiet Tung Chung!

BTW, if anyone wants to see one of the greatest beaches in the world, check out Cheung Sha. Went there yesterday and it is spectacularly pristine. Have a beer on the porch at Stoel's and dangle the feet in the sand...

Was meaning the overall commute and depends on where you live in Tung Chung and where in Central you work. MTR journey is 25 mins but door to door is longer.
