Well I apologise! I should have added a part for anyone who didn't read the thread carefully and thinks I want bags - although I didn't even mention bags - that it's not bags I want because that's why I didn't mention them. I am also sorry for not assuming a lack of English reading ability; I understand there are posters here those first or second languages are not English and I should have realised that people might possibly read the word "bags" even when this word was never mentioned. BTW, I didn't want a vacuum cleaner or vacuum flask either, should I have mentioned that I didn't want these too?

P.S. Like I said, I saw it a few months ago so I don't know if he is still there. Also, he was one of those seasonal/promotional vendors where he was demonstrating the functionality of the vacuum sealer.

If all else fails, you can always get a good Tilia Foodsaver on eBay, or have someone bring you one from the US with a bunch of plastic sheets/bags.

Go to the kitchen shops in Yau Ma Tei. They have got commercialones (box type) and consumer. The consumer were about $2000

jayinhongkong, I'd rather go the UK route as it would then work in my home country, the rest of Europe and most other countries in the world without the hassle of using a convertor.

Yeah, I definitely hear you on the voltage thing. Vac sealers would just be significantly cheaper in the US, as would the supplies you'd need to seal stuff up.
