Hi any ideas of the best places for snorkeling in Asia. Looking for places that are easy to get too (not Maldives please) with excellent 5 star hotels and few kids. We love to snorkel and would like to go more often hence the easy to get too part.

we went to kota kinabalu last year, good hotels on the marina, where you can then get ferrys to a number of outlying islands which are about 15 minutes away, they are very well run and cheap. They will take you to two or three islands a day if required. Only 3 hours away.

The snorkling was excellent,
although We also encountered a couple of box jellyfish as [easter] was the start/end (cant remeber?!) of the jellyfish season...
