| | | If you dont mind going to Pattaya then there is a place that my fiance and I stayed at when she went to meet my ship there. Its called Sunset Village.
Really quiet and away from the maddness of Pattaya. Beautiful place and CHEAP!! You can have a hut right on the beach. | |

| | | What exactly qualifies as a freakshow? I've picked up so many definitions that I can't really place a steady bar on 'freakshow' | |

| | Quiet Resorts Hi Tex,
Have stayed at quite a few quiet resorts in Thailand over the past 18 months.
Hua Hin: 'Kabon Tamor'; very quiet and very small. Right on beach front. Nothing to do except walk along the beach and sit by the pool.
Very reasonable price.
Rayong: Novotel Coralia; larger resort but very quiet. Nice facilities including two pools. Frequented by mainly 65+ yo Scandinavians....so very quiet. Absolute beach front.
Jomtien: 10 mins from Pattaya but don't let this deter you. This is a classic chillout place. Run by a Thai and his American wife. Lovely Thai style huts set amongst tropical gardens. Walk across road to beach
North Pattaya: Woodlands Resort. New wing just completed and it's pretty stunning; set beside large pool. Older section at back is also nice. Very impressed with this place, even if it is in Pattaya......but it's north of the crap!
Hope this helps. | |

| | | if u r looking for somewhere quiet, i'd say koh samui might be the best choice - at a right balance of everything, nightlife, baywatch kinda beach, also some extremely quiet beaches like Maneam. i usually go for bungalows when i travel, i'll say the bungalows in koh samui r well-euipped n CLEAN ! Chaless's Bungalow was the one i stayed for 14 days. | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 06:58 AM. | Partners |
