Hi Everyone,

no one has emailed me yet. I really need to know if i can get a decent one bedroom flat in kowloon tong or the surrounding areas for about 9000 HK per month.

Pls pls reply as i have to meet a deadline to accept a working contract or not in HK.

If the job is worth it, I would say come on over. You will be able to find the apartment you are looking for, just maybe not in Kowloon Tong.
To reject the job would seem to say you value the short commute over the job itself. (I am assuming you are trying to be close to the job?)
Sorry, though, I have no experience in that budget range.

As already mentioned, the places in Kowloon Tong are expensive - they also tend to be on the larger side. You might find something in Whampoa Gardens; it would involve a bus or minibus ride.

If you must live in KT, then see about getting your housing allowance doubled.

I'd say Kowloon Tong, no. But surrounding areas, yes. Sha Tin, Prince Edward, Mongkok, Hung Hom, Jordan, in fact there are a lot of areas you can look at. These are all very close to Kowloon Tong.

Flats in Kowloon is really expensive, you could try to search the apartment in the surrounding areas like Diamond Hill, Mongkok, Shatin or even Ngau Chi Wan where there is direct mini bus to there for about 15-20 mins. Althernatively, you could consider to share the accommodation with others.
