Car parking in West mid-levels for free?????

Ok, it is a bit of wishful thinking BUT is it at all possible to park a car in a street somewhere in Mid-levels west for free?
Cheers!

Is that a trick question ?

It will either be yellow lined or metered parking, I think High Street has octopus reading parking meters, 2 hours for $16 where the garage workshops all are between Western and Eastern roads. Enter from Western road and turn left into High Street.

The only legal free parking in Hong Kong SAR would be a business where they offer free parking to customers or someone's private property where they offer you a spot or don't care if people park there.

That aside there is a lot of places you may park for awhile and not pay. But, if the police happen to come for a visit your car will have a nice ticket on the window. I even see that a lot in Tuen Mun or Yuen Long where they have a street with some restaurants on it so people park in the street next to the restaurant and go in to eat. It seems harmless as cars can still go through, but because it is against the law the cops sometimes roll through and clear all the cars out/ ticket the ones that don't leave.

If you want free parking drive up to China. (After buying the expensive plates)

There are certain areas of the Western Mid-Levels where you can park for free without being ticketed, but I'm not telling you where.
