lotus leaves for cooking

Hi,

I would like to cook with lotus leaves (dried or fresh), but I have no idea where to buy them.

Please don't say in the Hong Kong park!

Thanks

The closest you will get here is taro leaves, which you can get from farms in the NT. I once spotted some growing in Pokfulam village and the farmer was happy to let me have all the leaves I wanted as they only use the roots.

The only place that I have seen lotus is in Wetlands in the northwest where it is illegal to pick.

WOW, thanks for your help, I'll certainly try the wonderful taro receipt

I don't know the taro leaf taste yet, do you think I can use them instead of lotus leaves to perfume rice or chicken? Have you tried?

You look to cook indian food, if you are interested by french receipt as I am for indian ones, we could share, what you think?
