Question What is a 'dependant' in terms of a working visa?
Hello,

My boyfriend of five years has accepted a job in Hong Kong, (we are both currrently living in London). My question is re a dependant working visa, as I would like to be able to work in HK. But, does dependant mean married?

it would seem section 39 would apply to your question..so yes, you would have to be married

doesn't matter to HK immig how long you have been together or even if you have kids together, unless you are married, you cannot be a dependent. sorry.
