Peoplesoft Specialist/Project Manager jobs in HK

We have just moved to HK from USA because of my husband's job. I resigned from work doing Peoplesoft HCM three weeks ago and do not really mind being off of the workforce for a little bit. However I might start getting antsy later on and decide that I want to go back to work again. Could you please advise on how I could find a similar job here? I have worked with the major brokerage/banking firms (Merill, JP Morgan) in the past. Would that improve my chances of getting a job with these companies here? I cannot speak Cantonese or Mandarin. Would that be a hindrance in landing a job? Should I contact the headhunters or apply directly to multinational firms' HR department?

Thanks.

Take a look at the scmp tomorrow as they'll have a massive job section and a big list of recruitment firms. Try and send your c.v to the larger multinational recruitment firms as they'll understand your c.v better than say some of the smaller local ones.

Try and get some sort of exposure to Cantonese/Mandarin whilst you're looking for work as that will make you more marketable and of course its something to do whilst you're job hunting itself, Don't expect to find something quickly though as the job market slows down during and after chinese new year.

Jimbo,

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely look into learning Mandarin. Could probably come in handy in NY's chinatown : ). So I should stick with the recruiters instead going directly to HR? I haven't dealt much with multinational recruiters. How do I know who they are?

Thanks again.
