Bicycle in DB?

Hi,
Can anyone recommend some stores around Discovery Bay area that have a good selection of bikes?

I've just moved out here and still don't know the area so well.

Thanks!

There is no shop in Delivery Bay so you have to get on one of the little ferries and head over to Mui Wo where you will find a treasure:

Friendly Bike Shop - Mui Wo (behind McDonalds)
Tel: (852) 2984 2278 Ask for Winnie Ng or Jacky Chan, (Staff speak English)
G/F, Shop 12, Mui Wo Centre, Lantau Island

Hi Jahoga, greetings from another DBer!
In case you wonder about traveling to Muiwo, there's a ferry pier along the DB Marina Drive which serves DB, Muiwo & Ping Chau Island. Here's the schedule (may not be most up-to-date) lantaulink.com - Lantau Practical

Friendly Bike moved to a bigger store last week. They are now at the intersection of Mui Wo Ferry Pier Rd and Ngan Wan Rd (just up the street from where they used to be). There are now 2 bike shops on this road. Friendly is the one that sells good bikes, the other sells very low-end ones.

They're open six days a week... closed on either Monday or Tuesday.

Great, thanks! (and thanks for the welcome to DB)

I've also heard about a place in Tung Chung, but the guy who told me also mentioned that it might have closed...anyone heard of it?

Cheers.

There are/were two places in Tung Chung. There was rumour that one was being forced out by the premisis by building management but the other (owned by a great guy called Sunny) should still be there. Problem is, finding Sunny's shop is an adventure in itself and defies an easy written description. I recall that it's in the Old Village area below the Yat Tung Estate complex.

Just stick with Friendly- they're one of the best bike stores in HK , it's pretty cheap and the owner is very easy going.

What sort of bike are you looking for anyway? That might make some shops more relevant than others. But then you're talking about Kowloon stores.
