| make sure you get a helper with new born experience. i would think it would be better to leave the baby with the helper. there is 1-1 attention from the helper. at a daycare, your child would be one of many. and not always the priority.
i've never heard of anyone in hk that has a helper wanting to send their child to daycare...that's the main reason for having a helper.
we hired one when we were expecting our first. our two children ADORE her. we were very explicit with her. we wanted out children raised a certain way. she had to follow OUR methods, rules etc. we also allow her to discipline them. when i do it, i take away toys/send to the bedroom. she has my son stand in the corner. it doesn't matter to me, but there is NO hitting. she knows this and follows it.
like i said, just get someone with experience and stay home for a week with them to make sure they know how YOU like things done.
good luck! |
