USB port problem with Mac Mini

Hello

I am trying to set up a new Harmony Logitech Remote control on a Mac Mini.

The issue is when I install the s/ware it says to connect the control to the Mac USB port - but never seems to recognise the control.

This works on my PC so I know the control is not faulty. Other devices work on the Mac USB. THe controller says on the screen 'USB connect' and if I take the battery out it gets power from the USB port, so the control is 'seeing' the Mac.

Is there anything Mac specific I am not doing? I am new to Mac's so not sure what I can do. I have downloaded latest Logitech s/ware and still doesn't work.

Logitech support have not been helpful and their HK support line says it is closed despite calling within the office hours as posted on their support page.

Thanks!
