Question full time and part-time job

Quick question.. i was wondering if anyone knows how this works..
but if i currently have a employment contract/visa w/ my current employer for the next 3 years and I am interested in getting a part time job with another company in the fitness field which is totally unrelated to my current career field.. is it possible to do this? Will the immigration department allow this? if so how does this work?
any input would be greatly appreciated

Quick answer - No. Your employment visa is employer specific so no chance to legally work with another company on a part time basis using your current visa.

if you do not have a Perm HKID and therefore are here by way of a work visa then it allows you only to work in that job. To obtain a second job requires a second visa.

Your employment contract shouldn't be a problem if a) its unrelated and b) your work would not suffer ( ie - you only are contracted to work certain hours, achieve certain goals )

Question full time & part-time jobs

thanks for the fast replies. So if this 2nd company is willing to help me get this visa than i can work for them. So it is possible to hold 2 visas from 2 different companies? Do they actually give visas for part time jobs?

So serious that you haven't realised that Hong Kong is a completely separate place from China from an Immigration point of view?

Imm attitude would be - we gave you a work visa because you had a skill not generally available in the local population and out of the kindness of our heart we let you in.
Now you want to try and steal a locals opportunity, or are you trying to tell us, in an Olympic Year, that a HK'r is not capable of being a fitness trainer ?

MMMMmmm - And your answer would be ?????
