Firefox Problems

Question about Firefox browser. For about a month now I have been getting (Firefox not responding) when downloading some sites. The brower hangs up, and I usually have to close it, if possible, and restart the Internet process. I have version Firefox/2.0.0.11.

Anyone else had this happen?

Any suggestions for fixing it?

Could it also be my PC?

Are you using any plugins, in Firefox? Try disabling them...

If you're not using any plugins / addons. Try the new 3.0 beta it fixes 300+ memory related issues that the 2.0 software has.

There are no known memory leaks large enough in 2.x tree that will cause a complete freeze. Does this happen after the browser has been running for a long time or even when you have just started it?

The freeze usually occurs during site download, and maybe with too many Java or Script in the download?

Also, looks like Beta 3.0 may still have some problems. I will wait for a full release before trying it.

I have had those problems as well, and plenty of other that i know of.
Which is why i made my previous thread, "the end of firefox?" i still use it though since i work with web design, but i tend to use Opera more these days..i know its got plenty of rendering issues but at least it has never ever frozen on me.
