Visapro.com.hk a legitimate agency??? Is visapro.com.hk a legitimate agency? Has anybody successfully used their services? I'm considering using their services for my dependant visa application, so any experiences would be helpful. thanks!

No first hand experience, but Dependant Visa applications are normally very straightforward (e.g. in your case, apparently, as the spouse of a PR). A simple form and some supporting documents. If there's nothing unusual about your situation then I'd say just do it yourself. (Although reviewing your postings I can see that you appear to have been residing illegally in Hong Kong for the past year, so I can see that this might be problematic.)

Thanks for your quick reply. I've been traveling in and out of HK every few weeks or so for the past year. Is that considered illegal?

If you are not residing elsewhere (i.e your home is in Hong Kong) then yes it is, quite clearly.

I've dealt with Sam from VisaPro and had good experiences with them. They know what they are talking about and their fees are reasonable.

| If you've not been working in HK and they've allowed you to re-enter. You should be ok. Visapro should have a money back type deal - if they accept that they will apply for you and they don't get the application you get your money back. Ask for something like that. They've got folks who can take a look at your situation and will only accept if they think its legit.

As a followup to this thread: Yesterday I successfully obtained my dependent visa through the services of Visapro.com.hk. I dealt mostly with Sam, and I am very happy with the way he handled our case. First of all, he speaks excellent English, so communication is not a problem at all. We had several meetings at his office to discuss all the required paper work for the application. Sam is very knowledgeable about the application procedure and he took his time to explain all the ins and outs. At no point did I feel he was rushing us. From the moment he submitted to application it took about 2,5 weeks for it to get approved. Everything was handled by VisaPro, they picked up the visa sticker for my passport and made the appointment for me to apply for my HK ID card. At every step, they provided very clear documentation about what we had to do and which documents are required. Also in terms of payment, there were no surprise charges at the end and VisaPro's fee is substantially lower than that of the other agency that people have mentioned here (Immegra?) I know some people in this thread have mentioned that getting dependent visa is quite straight forward, but I would have to disagree. In general, it's straight forward, but if your personal situation is only slightly different from the general requirements, it can get pretty confusing. Having someone that takes care of this all was a huge time and energy saver for me. Hope this helps someone who's also about to apply for a dependent visa.
