Three of us, Davli, Charwee and me are planning a hike in Tai Mei Duk on Saturday. We met for the first time last Saturday and can vouch for each others' normality and friendliness!

Nothing too strenuous, just a walk in the countryside and perhaps a hotpot in the evening in Tai Po.

Everyone is welcome. If you'd like to join us, meet at 10am on Saturday by the ticket office in Tai Po Market station. From there we'll take a bus to Tai Mei Duk.

Hey! Id love to join! Any advice on how to get to Tai Po market from Yau Ma Tei? I dont go to the New Territories very often, so Im not too sure how to get there. Sounds like fun though!

sounds like a lot of fun!! I'd want in...but I work till 1pm on Saturdays, would it be possible to meet up somehow afterwards/in between?

and as to going to Tai Po....are you going to be near Tai Po Market on the "KCR" train station? If you are, then I can hop on the train from East Tsim Sha Tsui area.

And if you are going from Yau Ma Tei, you can either take the MTR to Kowloon Tong to change to the East Rail linefor Tai Po Market (if that is the closest location for where we are meeting). Or, you can just go to the Mong Kok East station. All very close to Yau Ma Tei area. (I only know this because I live in the area lol)

Hey, great to hear from you both!

To get to Tai Po Market from Yau Ma Tei, get on the MTR and change at Kowloon Tong. At Kowloon Tong you'll need to get the KCR train to Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau or Sheung Shui. (Any of these 3 destinations is fine). Tai Po Market is 5 stops from Kowloon Tong. It shouldn't take more than an hour from Yau Ma Tei.

Gigglewater, if you're not able to join us for the hike, perhaps you could join us for the hotpot in the evening? Feel free to message me your mobile number and we'll try to meet up.

Thanks for all your messages. Just to confirm we're meeting tomorrow, 5th January at 10am besides the ticket office in Tai Po Market station.

I don't think it will be a difficult hike, but we might be walking for some hours, so come suitably equiped.
