Friends,

This site has been very helpful so far as we are planning to move to hongkong. As of now my wife will be coming with me in dependent visa. And we understand the chance of converting that into a work visa is low & the job market is not very good for her background(masters with 2 years research experience in Bio-Chemistry, Moluculer Biology). We are thinking of doing a second master degree or a suitable post graduate course.

Now my question is how that works? Do the dependent visa holders allowed to study? Is there anything called student visa? If yes then how & when you apply for it?

Any help on this is highly appreciated.

As far as i know, dependants are allowed to study in HK.
Yes, there is a category of visa called 'Student Visa'. However, it may not be required in your case.
