Looks like it won't be raining on Saturday but think it'll be damn cold. Would think I'd be ok coming from where I'm from but somehow have gotten used to the tropical heat.

Anyway, seems like there's a good bunch of folk coming along so it should be fun. I'll see yous at Tai Wai MTR/KCR station exit A at 11am this Saturday (19th Jan.). Nothing required, just bring yourselves.

If you need to contact me, I'll be online at Geoexpat till probably 10 something in the morning.

Catch yous soon.
Wontun

Sat Biking

Wonton and Co:

I am thinking of joining, just curious to see how long you think the entire ride might be? When do you anticipating returning? As I have a 3pm committment in Central.

I would not join for breakfast, would rent a bike

Let me know, thanks for organizing, john

Yes, any info on how long of a ride this might be is greatly appreciated ! Also, in the unlikely event that I arrive early, is the bike rental shop obvious to find from the Tai Wai stop? Look forward to seeing everyone at 11.

Bike rental places are very close to where we'll be meeting at exit A.

To cycle from Tai Wai to our designated destination, "the paradise beach", I envisage around 1 - 1h30m on a normal pace. The cycle is not extreme by any means and is very relaxing along the river. The total journey won't take that long. Really depends on how long people will want to stay on the beach. Probably around 4-5 hours in total. People are free to break from the group at anytime though if they have other commitments.

I will stand at the "exit A" sign on the wall. Should make it easier for you to recognise the group.
