| | | looks like today would've been a nice day to go cycling with the sun out and all. Hope the cold weather next week won't run through to Saturday. But as for now, the cycling trip to the beach is STILL ON!! | |

| | | Hi, I live in Mid-Levels and have my own bike, but am trying to decide whether it would be easier to just rent or try to bring along. I could either take it on a taxi/ferry to TST and bike from there to Tai Wai MTR station. Any idea on how long that might take and whether it is relatively straightforward? Alternatively, any idea how much a taxi ride with bike all the way to the Tai Wai MTR station might be (i.e. HK$100-150)? | |

| | | McFry, I would recommend to you to just come along on Saturday and rent a bike in Tai Wai. Would save you a lot of hassle.
If you were to bring your bike to TST from Mid-levels and cycle to Tai Wai, it would be very difficult because of the Lion Rock tunnel. If you were to take a taxi with your bike all the way to TW, then I would think in the region of $150 and above. And then you're going to have to take it all the way back.
Either way, I look forward to seeing you then.

Thanks for the reply and for organizing this event. I will follow your suggestion and just meet up with you all at 11am and rent a bike from Tai Wai. Look forward to catching up on Saturday.

Do people who will be joining want to grab something to eat before setting off? because if you do, I know just the place for a real local bowl of wonton noodles.
See you guys on Saturday

| | | I could be up for it if it doesn't take too long for everyone to meet up at the MTR stop. Otherwise would be fine with just grabbing some snacks for along the way if its a very long ride. | |
