Um no, Tsim Sha Tsui is in Hong Kong, not in Macau...

3 - Take train from XX to Macao.
4 - In Macao, find way to Tsim Sha Tsui CTS office by 9am.
5 - Give one picture and passport to them, get express so i can collect same day.
6 - Find a hotel for the night in either HK or SZ, fly back afternoon of the 29th.

Is this correct?

If so, i'll put a link to this on the Beijing expats page for fture reference, as loads of people have asked.

Thanks to you all....looking forward to HK!

Goodness where on earth did anyone even mention Macao in this thread? they said WAN CHAI! It only takes about 1hr or less to get into HK from SZ during off-peak hours... get it right or u end up in the different province...

At the risk of sounding pedantic we should maybe confirm that Tsim Sha Tsui is actually in 'Kowloon'

ok, my bad....glad you cleared that up, thanks. My geography is poor, as is my trip planning.

Sooo...
i get a minibus to Wanchai from the airport.
From Wanchai, i need to go to Tsim Sha Tsui and find the CTS office there.

Ok, final question...whats the best way from Wanchai o Tsim Sha Tsui? Is a taxi cheap enough?

Thanks!

The following sites have very useful information about getting around HK:

http://www.mtr.com.hk/eng/homepage/cust_index.html

http://www.ypmap.com/en/viewer.asp?m...ce=LocationMap

The 'Transportation Map' section will allow you to search bus routes etc.

OMG, the bus may run into midnight, please check with the counter! (the border crossing bus runs 24hrs) The airport-HK service uses minivan for Airport-Huanggang and the uses border crossing bus for Huanggang-HK

If you are planning the CTS option (DO NOT go to wanchai). Take the Mongkok/Jordan bus, it will bring you to the area of Tsim Sha Tsui. In any case, tell the counter girls that you want to go Tsim Sha Tsui and they will tell you which bus to take. Good Luck

CTS info, print their address for either Mongkok or Tsim Sha Tsui for emergency visa service. You can just show the address to a taxi driver or someone
