Kayak rental, where and when

Hi:

We are originally from Hong Kong 20 years ago. We are planning to viist our home town in 2008 March or April. Will like to check out the water sport, weather, potentially retire in Hong kong.

We love kayaking.

We like to know is the weather warm enough that kayak canoe place start the sesason yet? If so, where.

Thansk in advance.

Kayaking is a common sight between Sai Kung Beach and the Tai Mong Tsai area. I also regularly see large groups of Kayaks on Castle Peak Bay once in awhile, so can only assume they were coming from the Gold Coast Marina direction, there must be a hire place located nearby. You might be able to hire them in Lung Kwu Tan also, as they have a lot of water sport activities at the beach there.

Gold Coast Beach
Sai Kung Beach - Tai Mng Tsai has a Kayaking or Canoe Association of HK located there too .
Lung Kwu Tan Beach

Anyway, its all going to be bay kayaking, as rivers for kayaking purposes dont exist here.
