Christmas Gifts from Hong Kong

Help! I leave on Wednesday to visit Home (Texas) and need some gift ideas for Christmas. Preferably 1000HKD and below but something that says - hey this is from Hong Kong (or China). Something uniquely HK would be nice I think.

How about go to Ladies Market and find a nice table runner, placemats, chopsticks, picture frames, t-shirts? There are all sorts of things there.

HK Gift idea

Dymocks Book Stores also sell a range of Hong Kong 2008 Calenders, uniquely HK and easy to put in your suitcase.

Actually had a couple of Midwestern friends who really loved the dried squid. It really does just taste like beef jerky, mostly.

Temple St. market is probably your bastion of cheesy HK trinkets, perfect for most occasions.

Otherwise if you want to upscale a bit, birds nest or ginseng would be good. Maybe some clothes. Brands are everything here in HK. :P
