Hi,

Deciding whether to get a visa for the mainland here or at the border. I hold an Indian passport.

Any experiences on eligibility, process and cost aspects compared to getting it here in HK?

If you plan on goiing to China frequently, I'd recommend getting a multiple entry visa -- issued locally here in Hong Kong.

Cost
Probably little less at China resources Bldg and little more at local agents than border but not much diff...
Process
It may take two days in HK and probably half an hour at border...

I don't think the prices have gone up for Indian passports - should be $150 at the Lowu border. Processing time is around 5-15 mins.

They have 3 yrs multiple entry visa, but probably its given only to HK permanent residents... For non permanent HK residents they have multiple visa only for 6 months, i guess.
