the whole event that i read was painted to lead ppl to think that

- they adopted when they thought they cannot have a baby and then they had two of their own, implying that's the reason they gave up the baby >> but this fact is being challenged. they actually had an older kid of their own.

- they intentionally not taught her dutch so that she will not blend into the family/culture >> which again, according to the diplomat, she speaks dutch.

- that it was a simple case of adopt and abandon >> but with so many experts in the child psychology and medical fields involved, if they did not want it to work they wouldn't have went to all these ppl!

i think we just have to be less emotional until all the facts are out there.

notice how this board are full of ppl that gets green or red squares for commenting on things that are 'so sweet' or 'so kind' etc.

that's just how human think and behave. unfortunately. telling the truth is not always the best thing to do if the truth is not what the mass wants to hear!
What a good post, freeier!!!! Isn't that human nature? That people want to see how bad other people are in order to find out how good themselves are?

Could people stop all these stupid comments? Stop being so judgemental? Who knows exactly what the situation is? You guys think a few articles are going to explain everything exactly? Ever thought perhaps the little girl actually likes the idea of leaving them? Does that ever come to mind? There are 6 billion people on earth and you think everyone is the same? Are you all experts? Have you experienced any problem children?

I myself went to live in a boy's home and it was my choice! And there is no problem with that. Was my mother evil or was I?

Please open your minds. Excuse me, no offense meant.

By the way, good posts again pdlm.

and do note the trashy journalism these days.
the link neha posted was but just another rephrasing of the original points with some interview of supposedly experts that have entirely no details of what exactly happened but are simply speculating on something they have no knowledge of.

see the way everything was written.

unfortunately, this is the sad state of life these days.
been talking to too many journalist these days and i think bankers at least are not so downright miserable lifeforms. 8-P

this is pretty much only in the news BECAUSE he is a diplomat. If he was just Joe Soap it wouldn't be news at all - just another family & to my mind that is one of the
tragedies of modern life - despite the 'oh how awful' opinions most people don't care what the truth is or about the family & they certainly don't care much about the other domestic tragedies that occur. All the focus is on him - he's the news - not the situation - & that's v v sad

Big story and noise for a few days and then poof lights out. Does anyone know how this eventually turned out? The SCMP journalist who reported on this won some award recently, but (quite like CEO and trader bonuses based on 1 year) surely a bit premature without the follow up on to the sequel.
