I want to learn writing Chinese. Do you have experience teaching Chinese writing? Such as the basic characters, the radicals, the meanings, (and certainly the order of the strokes)? I have access to a fully-equipped classroom in Diamond Hill on weekday evenings and weekends; well-suited since this town is very Chinese and easily accessible. If you are willing to teach, I and I'm sure some others, are willing to learn.

Umm... thanks. Can you give any information as to where in Wan Chai it may be? From a quick look at the map - there's quite a few streets there. I can't imagine walking around for too long looking...

CUHK offers very good programs in both putonghua and cantonese. www.cuhk.edu.hk/clc sometimes the part-time teachers will do private tuition as well.

Hey doogle, I managed to learn to read, speak and write a forigen language by myself, it took a little longer but the whole experience was very satisfying and rewarding. There are many good writing books in Page One - or better yet, go to a local publishing book shop and ask for some simple (kindergarten level) text/writing books. They are big on those here. There is a shop in Wan Chai too, I think if you want to tickle your noodles, this could be something worth trying for! If a 4 year old can learn from those books, anyone can!
