One more thing .. I used to have an L1 on my card, which means lost 1. Not on the new card.

By the way .. working on the encodings. Something's messed with the database and its not taking double byte chars in.

yup that's right.

L = card has been previously lost.
or in Chinese as the Ming Pao explanatory guide says:
L = ???????*????????

My mother had the L too. (She lost her card in the 1970s, thanks to her kids (that's me ) playing around with it. In those days, if you lose your card you had to go to Wanchai to get it replaced.)
