going to Koh samui at easter. Flights booked but not sure of where to stay. any recommendations besides Miskaawan (too expensive for 7 days). Just 2 adults.. need a nice beach, and Ideally walking distance into the restaurant areas , bars etc.

I just finished back packing Thailand. I loved Koh Samui. I just hoped in a cab and told him to take me to all the hotels. You can get a nice room for about $20 CDN a night thats right on the beach. There are a million places to stay.

I suggest NOT to book something in advanced. If you can head over to a moon party (or half moon, quater moon hehehe) There is nothing like it on this planet.
