testimonials?

Hola!

I'm getting a job offer and was asked to bring in supporting documents. I'll be applying for a visa as well. I'm a recent college grad so I've got my diploma, transcript, a couple of reference. Two questions:

- What is a testimonial?
- Is the contact of my previous supervisor okay for a reference? Does it have to be in the form of writing?

Thanks!

Testimonial - reference letter

Yes, it has to be in the form of a letter on a company letterhead if it is to be considered a "supporting document" .... don't think the immigration department can take MP3 testimonials

If I don't have any formal work experience? Written testimonials are a must?

IMMD requires written documentation....can you get a reference from your profs? Obviously if you haven't worked, you won't have any employers to reference you, but academic ref's might help, not just personal ref's.

They usually want signed originals too, not photocopies.

But who was your supervisor, if not at work?? A uni work experience (practicum)? That would be good too.

well part-time work at my uni...what I've done in college is completely diff. from what I'll be working from now on.

I've got a meeting tomorrow to hear the offer. What I'm bringing is my diploma, transcript and contacts of my supervisors. Nothing in writing and I see trouble...

So I should ask any of my professors to write something, sign and fedex it from the States?
