I have moved here in October so am going on my third month. I love HK and have met one or two good friends but do want to expand my circle of friends, especially to include some single guys who are also in their mid-20s or early 30s and aren't into dating women who don't speak English (it seems like all the men here are either taken or are into local Chinese girls). I also want to get out of the LKF/Wanchai social scene. While it's fun, it's not exactly the place to form friendships/relationships.

I have worked in the state for few years and just came back this year.... so I still claim myself as local..I have the same feeling as you... but my friends defense that they are not specifically looking for chinese girls... but it seems they will have a bigger chance to find a cute chinese then americans in HK........hahaha

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to Hong Kong, my name is Natalie and I just arrived last Saturday evening and living with my sister to decide if I am going to stay and work here or possibly go to Dubai, anyhow I will be here for at least a month or two and would love to meet some friends to show me local Hong Kong and to also hang out with.

I've been in H.K for two nights. i use to live in Melb. H.K is one city, a friend suggested this site to me.
I've never been on anything like this before so i guess you have to be in it in this city.
Hard enough to meet people as it is now i feel like im in some sort of jungle.
Just broke up with my girl of three years and then a job comes up in H.K so i said yes please.
I've only been here two days and already considering singapore or UAE somewhere like dubai.
I'm currently living in a hotel till i find a place so don't know just were to stay just yet.
People at work are friendly enough and have made some suggestions.
where do you live and how are you finding the move.
over coffee would be nice.
