Talking Battle of the apartments!

After visiting dozens of apartments, I've narrowed my choices down to the following:

1. Manhattan Hill (Mei Foo, Kowloon) - 745 sq ft, 2 bedrooms, high level, open partial sea view, brand spanking new.
2. Manhattan Heights (Kennedy Town, HK) - 625 sq ft, 2 bedrooms, high level, sea view, free shuttle to Central, somewhat used.
3. Harbour Green (Olympic, Kowloon) - 705 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, high level, sea view facing Disneyland fireworks, brand spanking new as well.

I recently moved from the States to HK for work; Fluent in English, Cantonese and some Mandarin. Work in Central, so a short commute there is perfect. I would prefer living near other expats, but living in a local neighborhood is fine with me.

All 3 are comparable in price. Now all I need is your help in persuading me to pick one over the other two.

Easy access to all types of transportation MTR, minibuses, double decker buses, Airport Express and taxi's which means getting you can get transportation at anytime when you want it.

Mei Foo a bit far out
Kennedy Town only accessible by taxi or bus

To rent.

I wonder also if it is worthwhile to consider Manhattan Heights for the expat neighbors?

(As in apartment living anywhere) if you don't have kids then it's not very likely you'll get to know your neighbours. And even in the most densely expat areas 80% of your neighbours will be Chinese (well, apart from the Filipinos and Indonesians of course).

I Second Alby's recommendation. The only problem your going to have is that if you like to go out and party and like to do this in LKF or Wan Chai, you will be spending a lot of time in Taxi's as the MTR will close after midnight. If you can live with that then go for Harbour Green.

hey wtbhotia, good point!

I am living in Yau Ma Tei, just over from Tai Kok Tsui (aka Olympic) taxi's for me from LKF / Wan Chain via the Cross Harbour Tunnel with no or minimal merging traffic is approx. HK$85 to HK$100
via the Western Tunnel is approx. HK$130 to HK$145 with no traffic so to go over a few blocks I would add about HK$15 to HK$20.

From LKF and Wan Chai there are RED top minibuses to Mong Kok for about HK$20 then add another HK$15 to HK$20 for taxi fare from Mong Kok.
