One Harbour Road

My husband and I are staying in the Grand Hyatt Dec. 31-Jan 3 (on our way to Thailand). We made an online reservation for One Harbour Road for New Years Eve, and they want HK$ 3696 by Nov. 30 to preserve the reservation. This seems really excessive to us, and we can't find a menu or anything that would make it worth such a high price. Are we missing something there? What should we expect as far as dining anywhere in HK on New Years Eve?

Thanks!

Is that the price of the NY eve package? Not unusual at all.

The hotel didn't mention anything about a NYE package. What would it typically include?

Ok, then its probably just the deposit for the room reservations - given that they are pretty much full over NYE.

Also the hotel is considered a "prime hot spot" for New Year's Eve ... thus they are charging for it!

If you want a lower price I suggest that you stay away from the any hotel facing the harbour or with a harbour view!
