I really hope they find homes. So many people have disposed of their "pets" because of the belief that they can transmit SARS.

If you are looking for a pet, always go to the SPCA or CAF and not to a pet shop. The animals need homes and you will get a lovely pet who has had all of the necessary vacinations and is fit and health. Also, it is free!

This whole thisng with SARS reminds me of what happened around 10 years ago when the Government cracked down on public housing tenants keeping pets. Thousands of dog, cats, birds and other animals were taken by the Gov and dumped on the (then) RSPCA who were forced to put most of them down.

I know that a number of vets left after this incident as it was just too traumatic for them
