I've been in HK for two months now, and am slowly getting settled.

Wondering if anyone is in the Taikoo area? I'd be interested in meeting those living in the vicinity whom I can hang out with sometimes.

I'm more into nature and outdoor, rather than pubbing and night lives.

How's the living environment in Taikoo? I'm considering renting an apartment there in Taikoo Shing. Possible to give me a range indication of the rental of a 2-bedroom apartment there?

Taikoo area is a large community. I could see there are quite a lot expats, especially Japanese.
Rental depends on the views, vary from 9k - 20k. Should consult property agencies.

Thanks for the information. I guess the best way is to consult property agents. Just worried that they may jet up the price in order to earn more commission.

By the way, I don't see "Taikoo" as an area in many internet property listings, unlike Midlevels, Happy Valley, Pokfulam etc.

People could just say 'Taikoo' refering the Taikoo Shing or City plaza. So we live here just treat it as an area.

But yes, officially, Taikoo is in Quarry Bay, HK Island East.
